In cooperation with a wide range of independent, semi-independent and state media across the Middle East, CFD has run a series of innovative and effective training projects linking trainees with veteran journalists from around the world.
Our seminars, convened in cooperation with leading experts and NGOs, bring local media up to date with the key facts and sources they need to fairly cover major regional issues and the media needs in order to contribute to a wider understanding of critical processes.
The result is positive for journalistic professionalisation, capacity building, diversity of analysis, independent reporting and cumulatively, for the raising of public awareness – a key catalyst for regional and international change.
