Interim study of media and post-war laws pertaining to free expression in Iraq - Together with Index on Censorship with funding by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CFD studied Iraqi media and post-war laws pertaining to free expression in Iraq. Several journalist toolkits and manuals in Arabic, English and Kurdish were published.

Training for Arab Journalists in Coverage of Water Issues - CFD held previous training seminars for Arab journalists on the coverage of Water Issues for Middle Eastern/North African reporters. The final aim was to raise awareness on water and desertification issues in the Middle East. The training seminars in Jordan were followed up by reporting commissions at the World Water Forum.

The seminars were followed up by reporting commissions at the parliaments in Beirut, Lisbon and London.
